Springfield’s GLO Center hosts creative market for queer-owned businesses and artists
The Springfield GLO Center held its monthly creative market Saturday, inviting queer-owned businesses and artists to sell and show off their goods.
The market is nonprofit and hosts a variety of pottery, handmade jewelry, knitted crafts, and self-published books.
“Before I worked at the GLO Center, I was a vendor here. A lot of the vendors come every month, if not very frequently. And so we’ve really gotten to know each other, and it’s become a really great community of small business owners who also share that we’re also part of the LGBTQ+ community,” said Aaron Schekorra, the executive director of the GLO Center.
The next creative market will be held on March 23rd.
