Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Lighting Ceremony and Drone Show

Join us for this massive weekend celebration, May 1 and 2 on Commercial Street when we host multiple events that celebrate the dedication and lighting of the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge.
The weekend begins with a classic car rally from 6-9 pm along the east end of Historic Commercial Street with a pause at 8pm when there will be a special lighting ceremony of the bridge, paired with a drone show. Enjoy MSU jazz bands, food, and drink while admiring classic cars and a spectacular light show.
This is a part of the Route 66 Kickoff Centennial Celebration in Springfield Missouri the weekend of April 30 through May 3, 2026.
