The World Cup Has Arrived on C-Street

Here's a roundup of mid-June happenings on Commercial Street.

If you are a soccer fan and even if you're not, there is so much fun watching World Cup action with friends, old and new. Mumbles1888 has every World Cup game on and a celebratory atmosphere. Carryover seating for games is available across the street at Eurasia Coffee where you can also find made-in-house ice cream! Check out this east end of our street and bring friends!

Commercial Street's Lyle Foster will be a part of a special visual and storytelling exhibit at Benton Ave AME Church entitled, The mOther Road: Stores of the African American Experience on Route 66. This northside neighbor church will host the exhibit June 3 through Aug 29.

You may start seeing signs pop up around Commercial Street where a business is offering happy hour specials. This idea is just getting going, but for now, Big Momma's, La Roux, Van Goghs, and Cafe Cusco are all participating. Stay tuned for updates about happy hour specials as we learn of them.

And finally, enjoy some views from Floral Stroll on June 6. If you missed it, it will be back. Mark your calendars for the first Saturday in June, 2027 for the prettiest 1 mile stroll to see in Springfield, MO.
