One More Dollar is a rockin' Roots-folk, Americana band. They've also been called “Folk/Punk” and are based out of the Springfield, Missouri delivering a “musically driving”, "roots" Americana music experience.
One More Dollar is pleased to perform at Ruthie's Off C-Street! We're here to bring the culture of the Ozarks, One More Dollar will have you tapping your foot, getting the itch to dance, or just bask in its sound of fiddle, banjo, cello, bass, and guitar!
Biography
After more than five years as a trio, One More Dollar has honed its craft and reputation of a rockin’ roots based folk music group traveling all over the Midwest. Coming from their home base of Springfield Missouri, near the heart of the Ozarks region, this unique musical blend of old and new come together in what can only be described as Americana of the Ozarks, or as they call it, Ozarkana.
Multi-instrumentalists, Alisha Thomas, Robert Adkison, and Jeremy Myers have an instrumentation that is “something different” yet brings the culture of the Ozarks one foot stomp at a time with fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and cello having innovating arrangements of original music and new takes on Traditional favorites.

There are styles of sound that bring into one’s thoughts the various regions of the world. So unique to its location and inseparable to its culture, it is often difficult to name. These sounds, for One More Dollar, are the about the Ozarks. The name of our sound, is simple yet its feel is complex. Its focus on original and depression-era and earlier music, provide a glimpse into the foundation of our Ozarks Culture, while at the same time providing entertainment to “let go”. We believe we know what to call this difficult sound. We call it Ozarkana!
