You’re invited to kickoff the exciting process of planning a world-class Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Reopening Celebration for Spring 2026. The Sunday, July 14 event will be a casual, 2-hour (5:30-7:30pm) drop-in, come-and-go exchange of ideas at the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge, under the C-Street City Market Pavilion. Put on your creative thinking cap and have some fun as we craft a future for our treasured Jefferson Avenue Footbridge (JAF).
Springfield’s Quality of Place Ambassador, Tim Rosenbury will emcee the first of a series of collaborations by Commercial Club of Springfield, C-Street Merchants Association and the C-Street Community Improvement District (CID). Friends and fans of C-Street and the historic Jefferson Avenue Footbridge are invited to join in this casual, fun event.
The JAF belongs to the community! Commercial Club, C-Street Merchants and the CID want to know how friends, fans and neighbors would like to celebrate her renovation and what type of improvements to the RailYards area would accommodate ongoing events at the Footbridge Plaza and enhance C-Street as a world-class destination. This is your chance to claim a little piece and to lift up the footbridge for its next 100 years
